Two many things to do.

Hi everyone and welcome again to Netnewbe. Today I want to talk about having two many things to do and how to set priorities so that we or you can get things done. some times it is not procrastination it is just having our plates full. we have our families which are very important, we have our jobs and the assortment of other things like church, our relationships with loved ones that all these things some time conflict with our time. I wrote in another post that I wish at times that I had more hands and more me to do all the things that I want to do and the things that I must get done. but some days I find that I can not get it all done in the one day.

Some project also that more time than you thought it would take. so to get it done well and to your satisfaction we have to spend more time. so that push the time frame out of sync. well I am going to give you some little pointers to help.

First of all let us look at where we do our work. What does it look like is it cluttered  with stacks of papers supplies toys or books. Its best to get that area organized. this may seem harmless however it register in your peripheral vision and it competes for your attention. clutter breeds confusion. have you every noticed that when you have a lot going on and in your mind your room or house or car and your desk are a mess. Well if you put it in order you may find that you are more peaceful and can think and get a few things done.  These things will not be in your way or on your mind. Clarity is power.
 Also clarify all instructions so that you don't waste time with trial and error and then have to go back and do it all over again once you understand the instructions.

 Have everything that you are going to use with that one project at hand. Not in a pile with all the other things you still have to do. Furthermore make a list; I guess I should have listed the list making first. So that you have a plan of action first. Even the cleaning up of clutter have that on your list to do first. smile. Once you have finished the list and some of the things on the list, it makes you feel that you have accomplished  a lot or gotten thou some of your short term goals.

I know when I feel out of sync with the things to do, I have gotten away from making my list  first and checking off the projects I have finished. it is sort of empowering to know that you are getting things done and you have not wasted time and your energy.

Ok now it is time to prioritize your priorities! what is more important or must be done before you can get to the next thing. all things to do are not created equally. so number them. priority 1 then two and the next one it is neither important nor urgent. if things have a deadline then it should go first! So think of it like this the first one is important and urgent and needs to get done now , the  is important but not urgent.  and the last not important but a step or it is with in the process.

 the final note or tip is get rid of any distractions. I know that when I sit down to write it is best that no one else is in the background watching tv or playing music or chatting with me about something I tell all that I am working and I need no distractions please. now that is me however you may find that you like music on. Then do that if it helps you. with me I can't have the kids in the same room with me. I have to close the door and let them know I am working. some other things that may be a distraction are email alerts, or the phone or other dropping by. if you work from home set times and that you will be working so that all know that you don't want to be interrupted during these hours.  and you yourself must stick with these times as well. and not give in when other come with this or that. You be assertive with your self and not give in as well. smile I hope this has help a little with the two many things to do that at times we find our self stressing over. with a little set up time in the beginning  we help our selfs do better with getting things done on time and with a a clearer mindset.

How time is wasted!

 Hi everyone and welcome to NetNewbe. I have been a way for a while but I have had things on my mind and much to do on my plate.  Do you know that if you have mental unrest you will not get things done.   This is why it is so very important to keep a good frame of mind and to keep the stress levels in your personal life down. Well this is how time is wasted. The worry and fear of what is going on in your life. So lets use me as an example. So what is going on in my life that has me so busy that I could not come and do what I like and want to do.
My Current job. Ever since I have been under this new manager  he has done nothing but thrown rocks in our departments moral. Does he not understand that you can not micro manage a group of people that have done very well with out that kind of management. My theory  is if it is not broke then why mess with it. We have had two other managers and they understood this and work with us.  We have  had good production and not many errors. Now the level of errors has jumped and the feeling of stress is very evident. I am an administrative assistant so why am I going to classes on how to put handcuffs on kids that we work with. I should be taking classes for excel or something that relates to my job title. Strange beans indeed.



But the point to my story is this, with that kind of stuff going on in my personal or professional life it has caused me to think that I should leave that job. So this has added job search to my list of things to do.  Then filing suits for other negative treatment.  It totally reduced my production of what I wanted to do online and with this blog and my other blog. So I have done only the bear basic things. you see  my mind has only had the desire to do work around the house and tend to the needs of my job. With the additional training days and  time schedule changes my system and my inter clock are all in a whack!!.

I believe that in an earlier post I told you about working on a website that is attached to this blog. I am new at building a website so that takes time and study and  more work to figure out how to add things to it, and how it looks and functions.  Right now it is live and up but I still have so much work to do with it. It is in no way how I want it to be. But it is up! So if you will; bear with me with the building of the website. The time I spend worrying about weather I have a job next week to continue the work I need to do on the blogs, the website, product creation and marketing  is a little overwhelming at this time in my life. Remember now, I also work as a direct sales person with two companies I like and love promoting and I have a family, house and home to tend to.

 My theory here is you never put all your eggs in one basket with all that I trying to do. So I had to slow down with some things and it is how I come to how my time and my thoughts have  been wasted.
 For both blogs I like to create my own images. This has also suffered due to this situation at my current job. I do beat myself up for not working online with the things I put forth for myself. However I also know and understand that I must give my self a break and not beat up on self too much.  I am a positive person and when things happen in the negative I have to get myself back into gear and handle disappointments and cheer my self up. Create the positive in my life once again. It is a form of regrouping and settling down and do motivating activities that trigger my desires and empower me to work more on my own creations and perspective of self.




In other words get happy again. Smile.  Some of the things I have to do are these. 1. Stop waiting until!  that is why the site is active, 2. Stop trying to be perfect. I am only human and things happen that are out of my control. and the site does not have to be perfect. I am also changing my goal of how often I will write on both blogs to twice a month until this 9 to 5 mess is a little more under control. 3. Read more positive things. 4. I can not sit with co workers and chat about what the heck is going on at work. that also is not productive and it does not make one feel good. After all it is a job that I have no control of. That is so why I started wanting to work for self.

So I must embrace this opportunity and that internal grace. So today this post in a way has been my journal to vent and it has made me feel better so it is therapeutic. I have gotten that off my chest.
 I will also say this as well. I have spent time out side a lot during this time. It seems to me that it also has help me  and if you are going though any thing like this or you just have situations in your life.

Give your self a break, and get out and do things in the fresh air and don't constantly talk about your problems but, talk about thinks that are positive, Meditating is also good  for clearing your mind. It  can help you see things in a new light.

I always think about helping others and to put your mind on other people is another  good way to help yourself by helping others.  I do think that from what I write  this can help others see that giving yourself permission to be befuddled at times is human.  After all that is what we are. Things happen and there will always be something that falls in the road on your way. Stop deal with it and move on.




 Brainstorm and de-stress in ways that are pleasurable  and that make you feel good about yourself for yourself. See the solutions in a positive light will help you.
 I also find that daydreaming is a big help too. Because it is with those ideas that are created and envisioned  with in the day dream  which, can motivate and encourage you to cheer up and identify what really is important to you and set you back on the road of your intentions. It resurrect and engages your emotions.
 Our thoughts and emotions affect our motivation. This is the level at which you are able to find a reason to act. Also to  think  rational;  that someone else job is not yours to take any ownership in. Which leads us to feel possessive about our jobs and the duties we preform. This is what I also had to come to see that I was doing. You can not really do that with a job that is not yours. Sure you can be proud of the work you do as I have.  However don't get the two confused.
 Here is a little quote that illiterates what I mean with changing your mindset to one that is more positive and more rational when thinking of being motivated and developing emotional intelligence. To live learn and grow by being aware of our thinking and handling our emotions. I will talk on that subject the emotional intelligence in another post.
